Work experience
Employer: Apple [Summer 2014]
Role: Graduate Intern
Worked as a developer for GPU Top Level Design Verification team. My work involved writing tests for driver and GPU design verification. Typically I have to come up with different test scenarios possible for a particuar GPU functionality and write code using it. The output thus produced can be verified against to what its suppose to look like.
Employer: Georgia Tech. Research Inst. [Mar 2014 - May 2014]
Role: Graduate Research Assistant
My work involved development of Rigid Transformation Estimation technique. Basically I have to deal with point clouds from Kinect device and determine by what magnitude the camera has been transformed in between each frame. After the estimation I have to merge individual point clouds to create an overall scene.
Employer: Infosys Limited, Mangalore [2010 - 2013]
Roles: Trainee (till Mar 2011), Systems Engineer (till Dec 2012), Senior Systems Engineer (till Jul 2013).
Worked as SAP ABAP developer and technical consultant for Manufacturing domain clients. Development work typically involved both front-end user interface creation and back-end data extraction and manipulation. Consulting work involved technical analysis of a solution, improving system performance and user interaction.

Consulting work involved technical analysis of a solution, improvising system performance and user interaction.
-
Involved throughout the life cycle of product development, right from functional analysis to hyper-care and support.
Different types of deliverable worked on:
-
Data Conversion Interfaces: Reading data in a particular format, adding and manipulating information and outputting in other format. The work demands writing efficient database queries, and dealing with different data types and formats.
-
Print Forms: Generating printable formatted output for an order, by extracting and manipulating relevant information from various databases. The work demands accurate formatting of output document keeping scalability in mind, and writing efficient database queries.
-
Warehouse Hand-held Device Programs: Creating user interface and providing functionality for inventory manipulation. The work demands robust user interface, and minimizing database queries.
-
Archiving and Background tasks: Developing automatic tasks that will auto archive data from order transactional tables to order archive tables, based on various order statuses. The work demands efficient queries and minimized memory usage as very huge amount of data has to be processed.
-
User Dialog Programs: Creating user interface and provide desired data manipulation and data viewing functionality. The work involved creating robust user interface, and writing efficient code so as to provide interactivity even when amount of data demanded is huge.
SAP-ABAP niches worked on:
-
SAP Script and Smart-forms (generating formatted of user purchase such as invoice, order receipt, etc)
-
Report and dialog programs (interactive programs)
-
BADI (Business Add Ins) and User exits (used to modify the existing functionality of SAP systems)
-
BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface used to call a standard SAP functionality in your programs)
-
IDOCs (Intermediate Document uses to interface with outside systems).
Achievements:
1+ Annual Performance Rating for year 2012 at Infosys Limited.
Member of code review and quality improvement team.
Created query optimizer for fetching near continuous key values (Fetch time reduced to 50%).
Restructured and optimized an existing, highly critical program (Run-time reduced to 55%).
4.98 / 5.00 Cumulative Performance Index, in initial 5 months training.
